Forty organizations, 80 events and a humanoid robot named Pepper focused on a combined goal in November: strengthening Switzerland as a hub of digital innovation. The first Swiss Digital Day highlighted the country’s digital present and gave a glimpse of the opportunities offered by embracing a digital future.
As a member of the digitalswitzerland initiative, Accenture is committed to helping the country drive digital transformation. Accenture Switzerland partnered with major players like Google, UBS, SBB and many more at the event to engage the broader public and spark discussions about the impact and opportunities of digitalization in Switzerland.
Through the interactive digital.swiss scorecard, developed in cooperation with Accenture’s new Liquid Studio Switzerland, the Swiss public was invited to vote on the best impacts of digitalization and offer suggestions for improvement. Innovative ideas plan to use digital technology to improve everything from cybersecurity and military intelligence to the ability to detect eye infections—without ever stepping foot in a doctor’s office.
From basic infrastructures to energy, education and health, there is plenty of untapped digital potential in Switzerland. Events like Swiss Digital Day and partnerships with companies like Accenture are examples of the country’s dedication to harnessing the power of digital to build a strong foundation for the future.
