My generation: Focusing on climate change, poverty, inequalities
By: Accenture Recruitment

My Generation

Depending on which news outlet you read, Generation Y can be portrayed as either completely apathetic or full of workaholics. Jessica Long, Managing Director, Accenture Strategy, gives a more inspirational outlook on the next generation, who she says have become a group of leaders focused on not only their companies’ bottom lines, but, more importantly, on making the world a better place.

Jessica is part of a diverse group of more than 1,000 Young Global Leaders, who come together from all across the globe to focus on what she calls “some pretty big challenges,” such as climate change, refugee crises and poverty. Here, she discusses the impact of attending the 2016 World Economic Forum as part of this group and the report the leaders have launched focusing on real, sustainable development goals.
