As a child, I remember being in awe of my father, watching him code and program. He was a colonel in the Indian Army, and he instilled in me a love of technology.
That fascination with technology led me to pursuing a career in computer engineering. Technology is more than a tool to help us collaborate and stay connected. It’s the key to helping us do it all. Technology can enable women find their true voice, and it has opened opportunities for me that were previously unavailable.
I joined Accenture after graduating university in 2006 with a degree in Engineering. Over the last 12 years, I’ve had an opportunity to explore my full potential in all kinds of roles, expand my skills and leverage the latest technology. From
a core developer working on client projects to a performance tester working in business operations, I’ve had the flexibility to drive my career while expanding my family. Accenture provides access to a huge repository of tools, frameworks and software that helps you build your capabilities and innovate.
Today, I’m part of the Resource Management Group, driving demand and supply strategies to improve fulfillment predictability and to mitigate marketplace volatility. With strong backup and support from my leaders and peers, I blossom with confidence and deliver my best. And Accenture’s flexible work arrangements enable me to attain a perfect work-life balance. While I feel super happy and proud to be a lead at Accenture, I feel equally happy as a mother of two boys.
As my career at Accenture—and my personal life—have evolved, I’ve achieved professional goals while still meeting personal ones. I bring my honesty, commitment and dedication to work every day—and I get the same respect and warmth back.
