My consulting career is improving patient experience

Now is an exciting time to build a career in the life sciences industry.
The work we’re doing as consultants in this space is truly helping transform the patient experience.
With major advancements in medicine and health care technology, we’re seeing life sciences companies take new approaches to care.
At the same time, research and development (R&D) innovation through data-driven and digital enablement is creating a pivot that puts the focus squarely on the patient.
Improving the patient experience
My focus on R&D in the life sciences industry is working with clients to help organize and optimize their information processes and data so they can make informed clinical and regulatory decisions faster.
This helps them move medicine and medical devices along the value chain faster—which means patients receive more targeted medicine and medical devices more quickly.
Change like this is made possible by new opportunities in life sciences like real-world evidence, translational medicine, big data analytics, digital health and other advanced technologies and innovations.
All of this adds up to better outcomes for R&D and improvements in the patient experience.
My journey to life sciences
I started my consulting career immediately after college, working in industries such as products, health care and government. But I found my home within Accenture’s Applied Life Sciences Solutions (ALSS) practice.
I’ve been part of large-scale transformations, from mergers to cloud implementations. Most recently, I assisted my client in moving to a new cloud technology that supports their clinical, regulatory and quality business functions.
For this project, we helped ensure there was a centralized content-management application to support critical business functions. This enabled the client to maintain regulatory compliance while bringing products to the market faster and more efficiently.
Each project is special and exciting in its own way, and I take great pride in helping solve complex problems for our clients.
We come into a chaotic environment, optimize processes and deploy technology and then watch the transformation take place—all for the greater good.
Unrivaled growth opportunities
