Seek Study Soar

At Accenture, we understand that women have professional goals that are just as unique as they are, so we offer a supportive environment that empowers them to define their personal approach to success. This commitment extends beyond Accenture women and encompasses the larger global business community as well.

Since 2013 we have been partnering with the IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) on a women’s leadership program – EMERGE. It works to increase the representation of women of color at senior levels of IT through a series of professional workshops, webinars and thought leadership. It offers intimate connections and insights to develop and nurture the natural talents of women of color, while amplifying their professional skills

In 2015, in collaboration with North Carolina Central University, we helped ITSMF to conduct a survey to understand today’s career landscape for women of color in IT. Based on the findings, the team developed the 2016 program, “Seek. Study. Soar.”

  • Seek: Discover professional awareness of cultural beliefs, stressors and navigating bias as a female leader.
  • Study: Learn the strengths of work/life balance, communication, self-marketing and branding.
  • Soar: Expand networking and performance tools to perform and EMERGE a heightened female executive.

Throughout the experience, participants will be encouraged to incorporate their learnings into a personal action plan, complete with an accountability partner. There’s also the chance to benefit from online learning on topics like executive presence.

Visit the ITSMF website for more information on how to get involved with EMERGE – and learn more about Accenture’s commitment to gender diversity.
