Accenture device protection privacy statement

This privacy statement is effective January 28, 2015

Overview

This privacy statement supplements the general collection and use of personal information collected from Accenture websites, as set out in our Accenture Privacy Statement which will apply to the data we collect from you.

Scope and Application
This privacy statement explains how Accenture collects and uses the personal data of users of Accenture Device Protection application (Application) on a mobile device. Any changes we may make to our privacy statement in the future will be posted on this page. The Application includes device management capabilities for iOS and Android devices as part of a backend system allowing IT administrators at your company to control company-owned devices for remote configuration, security policies and inventory.

What information does the Application collect and how is it used?
Accenture collects information via its Application in two ways: (1) directly (for example, when you provide information to sign onto the Application, and (2) indirectly (for example through our Application’s technology).

We may collect and process the following information:

Automatically Collected Information – The Application may collect certain information automatically, such as the type of mobile device you use, the software (installed and currently running) your device uses,, your device I.D. Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) data: e.g. serial number cell identification data, current mobile network operator, incoming and outgoing total call duration, roaming mode), your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application such as how many times the Application has been used in the last month and the amount of data traffic generated.

  • This information is used by Accenture to determine what is effective about our Application, how it is used by users and how we might improve it
  • To enable the Accenture Device Protection service on your device

Information provided by you – The Application collects information that you voluntarily provide, for example phone number, email address and ADP PIN code for user identification. This User Information is not available to Accenture and is available only to your IT Administrator.

All information collected by this Application will be collected and used in accordance with the terms of this privacy statement, the Accenture Privacy Statement, the applicable data privacy laws and Accenture’s internal policies. You can stop continued collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. However, please note Accenture will still hold information about you previously collected via the Application.

Cookies and other tracking technology

Please see the Accenture Privacy Statement for a description of what cookies are, how Accenture uses these and what to do if you don’t want cookies. By using the Application you agree that we can place cookies on your device as explained in the Accenture Privacy Statement The cookies we use identify you only as a number and are used to technically keep track of the navigating sessions in the application catalog feature of the Application.

How long do you keep my information for?
We will retain the data for as long as you use the Application . Please note that some or all of the data may be required in order for the Application to function properly, and we may be required to retain certain information by law.

Where will my information be processed?
As a global organization with global IT systems, personal data we collect may be routed, stored, or transferred internationally throughout Accenture's worldwide organization or our vendors. We have internal policies in place to ensure an equivalent level of protection is in place across our organization. We may also share personal data with our contracted service providers and advisors who may be located globally and so we may need to transfer your personal data to other countries. Before we do so, we take steps to ensure that your personal data will be given adequate protection as required by relevant data protection laws and Accenture’s internal policies.

Security

We take appropriate steps to maintain the security of personal data collected via the Application. Our Application may, from time to time, contain links to and from the sites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these sites, please note that these sites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or sites. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these sites.

Children
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should uninstall the Application from the device.

What are my rights?
You are entitled to know whether we hold personal data about you and, if we do, to have access to that personal data and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate. You can do this by contacting at dataprivacy@accenture.com
