Vanessa Godshalk is the Senior Managing Director and Safety & Citizen Services Lead for Accenture Federal Services (AFS). This diverse portfolio includes the Departments of Homeland Security, State, Justice, Energy, NASA, among others.
Since joining Accenture in 1996, she has held a variety of leadership roles. Throughout her 25-year career, she has delivered transformational programs for a wide range of federal clients across mission areas. Most recently, Godshalk served as the Strategy & Consulting Growth Platform Lead. Prior to this, she served as the Civilian Portfolio Financial Services sector lead, serving as the Department of Treasury Client Account Lead as well as serving financial regulatory agencies, pension agencies, and housing finance organizations. She also served as lead of the Federal Human Capital practice within Strategy & Consulting, where she was responsible for the business focused on human capital strategy, leadership and workforce development, culture and morale, inclusion and diversity, and change management.
Vanessa is an active contributor to Accenture thought leadership and industry forums. In 2021, she was recognized as a Women in Technology finalist in the large market segment.
Beyond Accenture, Vanessa is active in non-profit board leadership, having served as Chair & Vice Chair of Shelter House, a community-based, non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention, safe housing and supportive services to promote self-sufficiency for homeless families and victims of domestic violence in northern VA. In recognition of her work, she received the large business community partner award in consecutive years.
Her education background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership Studies from the Jepson School at the University of Richmond, VA.
