About Kathleen

Kathleen O’Reilly leads Accenture Strategy, which creates shareholder value and enables competitive agility by partnering with boards, CEOs and C-suite executives to define and answer their most strategic business questions, including growth, profitability, technology-driven transformation, M&A, operating models and sustainability. She is also a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.

Prior to her current role, Kathleen led Accenture’s business across the US Northeast region, where she focused on bringing innovation to clients in a wide range of industries. In parallel, as group strategy and operating officer for North America, she expanded and accelerated the innovation capabilities Accenture brings to clients to help them grow and transform in the digital economy, leading the charge to expand the company’s innovation infrastructure, talent and capabilities through a network of innovation hubs in key markets.

Kathleen has devoted more than 25 years to the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) industries, advising clients on corporate strategy, digital innovation, organizational agility and operational excellence. She has held a variety of leadership roles inside Accenture, including as global senior managing director of CMT’s management consulting practice, as the cable industry practice lead in North America and as a diamond client account lead.

Kathleen began her career in the telecommunications industry with Verizon Communications. Before joining Accenture, she worked for A.T. Kearney.

Based in Philadelphia, Kathleen is an active member in her local community. She is a member of the New York Economic Club and previously sat on the global board of Women in Cable and Telecommunications. She has also served on the boards of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, The Barnes Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters (SEPA) and the Corporate Board of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

In 2017, Kathleen was recognized for her excellence in client service as one of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants and was also named Working Mother of the Year by Working Mother Magazine.

Kathleen joined Accenture in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and was a Carnegie Fellow at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. She also completed continuing executive education at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
