Managing Director – Education, Health and Public Service
David Metnick is a managing director in Accenture’s Health and Public Service business. He is Accenture’s Lead for Health and Public Service across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C .
David has enjoyed an extensive career with Accenture spanning nineteen years. In his work, he has partnered with G2000 companies, education providers, governments, non-profits, healthcare and financial services clients to design and implement profound transformations at the intersection of business and technology. Most recently, David has served as the North America Higher Education Management Consulting Practice Lead, the North America Public Sector Talent & organization Practice Lead, the executive sponsor for Accenture’s Education employee resource group, the executive sponsor for the North America Health and Public Service Management Consulting Development Program, and the executive sponsor for global talent and organization capability development.
David is a thought leader in his field. He guest lectures at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and at the University of Chicago’s Harris School and has authored numerous publications. His supporting research in Workforce of One: Revolutionizing Talent Management through Customization was recognized by an Accenture Thought Leadership Award.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University and The George Washington University, David is engaged in the community in which he lives and works. He is on technology innovation advisory boards at The George Mason University and The George Washington University and recently served on the Transition Policy Council on Technology for Virginia. He also served for three years as a board member of College Summit’s (PeerForward) National Capital Region, a non-profit organization that aims to boost the college preparation and enrollment of high-potential high school students in low-income districts across the US.
