Lead – Intelligent Cloud & Engineering*
Adam Burden is Accenture’s intelligent cloud and engineering lead. In this role, Adam is responsible for accelerating Accenture's growth in cloud and custom solutions, setting a new market standard for truly integrated, full-stack cloud and engineering capabilities. In addition, Adam oversees Accenture's partnerships with AWS, Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun), Google Cloud, ServiceNow as well as IBM & Red Hat. Adam also serves as the innovation lead for Accenture in ASEAN (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand) and is a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.
Throughout his 27-year career, Adam has guided numerous pioneering engagements, including serving as lead architect for the world’s largest wholesale electricity market and overseeing pioneering cloud migration engagements. He is a certified Solution Architect, Delivery Lead and Master Technical Architect with specializations spanning legacy modernization, cloud native applications, DevOps, automation engineering and enterprise architecture. Adam has also held client account leadership and technical account leadership positions.
Adam joined Accenture in 1992 and became a managing director in 2004. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia. His background also includes graduate studies in Fault-Tolerant digital systems design. He is currently based in Singapore.
*On September 18, 2020, Accenture announced that Karthik Narain will lead Accenture Cloud First and Adam Burden will lead Technology in North America. These changes will be effective October 1, 2020.
