Piercarlo Gera is senior managing director for Accenture Financial Services Distribution & Marketing services, which includes work in distribution channels (for example, branch, mobile, Web, and social media) and marketing (such as big data, analytics, and customer relationship management).
Mr. Gera has more than 28 years of experience in Accenture. He supports organizations in developed and high-growth countries in geographies across the world. Previously, Mr. Gera has facilitated transformational outcomes in projects such as strategic repositioning, driving growth while optimizing cost-to-serve, increasing customer engagement, planning and managing mergers, and developing productivity improvement programs that create lean organizations.
Mr. Gera shaped and launched the Efma-Accenture Distribution & Marketing Innovation Awards, an annual event that recognizes leading innovations in Financial Services. In 2017 the Awards celebrated their fifth anniversary with an unprecedented number of participants.
He was also included among the Top 50 Digital Experts in Digital Banking Power 50 – “The who’s who of Digital Banking”—by Intelligent Environment. He is a regular speaker at major industry events and helps develop points of view, such as the 2017 Global Distribution & Marketing Consumer Study, Banking as a Living Business, Winning in the Digital Economy, Mindset Segmentation, Beyond the Everyday Bank, as well as Digital Insurer and Customer-centricity in Insurance.
Mr. Gera has a Bachelor of Science from Politecnico Milan and a Master of Business Administration from Wharton Graduate Business School. He is based in Milan, Italy.
