Dave Light is a Principal Director of Thought Leadership Research with Accenture Research. In that role, he leads editorial and publishing operations for the group. He manages an extensive content pipeline, working with research teams to develop and shape powerful ideas from the earliest stages of thinking all the way through to publication both with Accenture and in leading business and management newspapers, magazines, and journals. He is tasked with assuring the highest quality in research reports and publications, while also focusing on the need for timeliness. Through his collaboration with research leads, Light has shared bylines in the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Journal of Business Strategy, Outlook and more. He has also taught thought leadership development several times at Strategy College in St Charles. Before joining the Institute in 2004, he was an editor with two Boston-area management publications, MIT Sloan Management Review and Harvard Business Review, for a total of nine years. He has also worked in marketing for Harvard University Press and as an editor of college history textbooks. He was educated at Minnesota’s Carleton College with a B.A. in Russian Studies, and at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with an M.A. in European history.
