Accenture teaches Skills to Succeed to hill tribal students at Chiang Rai
Accenture in Thailand held a special event as part of this year’s Skills to Succeed corporate citizenship program.
Seventeen Accenture people volunteered to conduct the Young Entrepreneur Development (YEDP) Program for 48 students at Chiang Rai province.
Held on August 19 - 21, 2016, the three-day learning sessions helped hill tribal students at Chiang Rai province learned basic skills to set up their own small business and giving them a chance to support themselves and family.
On day one, our volunteers joined the briefing session with Plan to understand students background and conditions.
On the second day, students were taught business objectives, target markets, positioning, the 4 Ps (Product, Price, Place and Promotion) and how to calculate the possibility of commercial production and finance.
On the last day, there was a recap of learnings from day two and a final learning session on risk management in business. The event culminated with the students’ presentation of their business plan.
