Agencies can use human services analytics to deliver better, more cost-effective outcomes. Scalable segmentation of family characteristics data—family size, education and employment, health status, and skills gaps among others—can help agencies move families most in need to economic stability reasonably quickly. While doing this requires data sharing, the good news is that there are pragmatic approaches to help human services agencies break through data sharing challenges that can get in the way of progress.
