WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Developing new capabilities for our clients across multiple industries beyond static reports in Splunk
• Implementing application, infrastructure, business processes and KPI monitoring solutions
• Ingest, explore, and visualise data
• Ingestion of new data sources (Kafka, Modular Inputs..)
• Finding new insights from data
• Implementation of dashboards/reports, alerts
• Analyzing the data for anomalies/trends
• Performing maintenance of existing clustered Splunk deployments
• Perform regular maintenance activities, patch/fix installations and application upgrades
• Monitor operations of Splunk platform to enable proactive issue identification, response, and resolution
• Regular Splunk, add-on operating system updates
• Investigate alerts and anomalies and participate in incident response

Qualifications
WHAT WE EXPECT
• 2 + years of experience in data engineering
• Familiar with ETL and Data Cleanse and Integration, Data modelling
• Experience working with complex application environments, with the ability to understand relevant sources of machine data, such as performance logs, application logs, audit logs, security data sources, network-centric data, etc
• Several years of hands-on experience in Service Monitoring-Tools (experience in Splunk is highly preferred, experience in Nagios, Spectrum, open source is also an advantage)
• Knowledge of Git/Jenkins as well as other tools for automation solutions
• Professional experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Practical experience of cloud concepts either using AWS or Azure
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and log formats
• Experience deploying / managing monitoring solutions, platforms, and technologies
• Good communication skills
• Advanced English, spoken and written
• Scripting skills (Powershell, Shell, Python) are an advantage.
