OVERVIEW

Accenture Mobility Managed Services helped a postal services organization that offers services beyond traditional post office operations design the systems needed to implement a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) solution. The solution had to include integration with payment and core banking systems.

The fully managed solution that included both infrastructure and application outsourcing allowed the company to provide postal services, banking, financial and insurance activities with full security for transactions.

OPPORTUNITY

The client is a postal services organization that offers services beyond traditional post office operations, including banking, financial and insurance activities, logistics and e-commerce. The company needed to implement a MNVO solution that covers network interfaces, business support systems/customer relationship management, value added services, over-the-air provisioning and integration with payment and core banking systems. Services had to be developed by designing a specific subscriber identification module to enable the execution of financial services with full security.

SOLUTION

  • Supported the client in product and function definition.

  • Built the business case and go-to market strategy.

  • Provided a fully managed solution that included infrastructure outsourcing and application outsourcing.

RESULTS

Accenture completed the project in six months, mobilizing approximately 90 people that combined on-shore, near-shore and off-shore expertise. In addition, we were retained by the client for new service development, application and infrastructure management after rollout.
