Accenture Awarded Contract to Develop a Case Management and Information System to Better Coordinate Singapore Social Services


SINGAPORE; June 15, 2014 – Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) have awarded Accenture (NYSE: ACN) a five and a half-year, S$26.5 million contract to develop and deploy the Social Service Net (SSNet), a national case management and information system that will be used across the social service sector to better coordinate the delivery of social assistance and services to individuals and families in need.

The system will help leverage technology in the most effective manner to deliver better outcomes to citizens in need. With the ability to share information among service providers, beneficiaries will receive more timely and effective assistance without having to repeat information or submit the same documents at each social service touch point. Safeguards also will be put in place to ensure that information is shared on an “as needed” basis and used responsibly.
