Accenture empowers businesses to innovate using technology, so there’s always something new and exciting to do at Accenture.
One of the most exciting projects I’ve done so far was for a global mining company in Chile. I supported the software testing process of a tool for their human resources management system. The project eventually went live on time and is now being used by its 45,000 employees. It was an unforgettable assignment as I was far from home and adapting to a new workplace and culture. But the best part was that I was able to visit incredible attractions there.
What I also like about Accenture is its people. My colleagues here are very accommodating, and they help bring out the best in me. There was a time when I had to accompany a family member to chemotherapy appointments. My line manager was very flexible and backed me up when I was away from work.
Another thing I love about working at Accenture is the opportunity to work with a diverse workforce. Currently, I work at the client’s project site where there are Accenture staff, the client’s employees as well as hired contractors. There is a pinboard showing where each person came from and all continents in the world are covered!
Off work, I enjoy road cycling. I usually join in non-competitive cycling events, both local and overseas. One of the most memorable events I have participated in was the Hawaii Half Ironman race back in 2015. Currently, I am also anticipating for my holiday trip to Italy, where I will be attending a cycling event and will be cycling on the Dolomite mountains.
