My days are spent mostly working on the deliverables for the client. The scope of work often differs, and I discuss this with my team and project supervisors in our morning stand-up meetings. There are also other meetings within the project team and with the client, where we would align on requirements and/or expectations and provide status updates.
I am also part of the Technology Analyst Program (TAP) at Accenture, which is also a great platform for fresh technology graduates to meet fellow new joiners, gain a fundamental understanding of the various phases of a project delivery, and also meet and learn from various mentors and leaders in the organisation. Training provided during the program equips us with the skills and knowledge to handle different roles in a project. Within TAP, I also work with a team to organise events or initiatives for the entire technology analyst community in Singapore.
Accenture is a place that really fosters growth in its employees, so I would also allocate time to work on tutorials and training exercises on our learning portal. I also join coffee chats organised by our Lean-in Circles community, to share and understand how other female colleagues are coping with the current working from home challenges.
Apart from the work, I really love the people here too! There are always great project managers and leads to get guidance from. I can also always reach out to people beyond my team for help or advice. It is always bittersweet whenever I roll off a team, as a lot of good rapport and bonds have been forged over the course of a project. I am glad to have the opportunity to work with such great and talented people, and I keep in touch with my colleagues from past projects both in and beyond the region.
