A typical day for me involves constant threads of collaboration regarding client business development opportunities, delivery challenges requiring some level of engagement and deciding which to engage directly and which to delegate via referral to other colleagues within the practice and across our networks. It also involves a continuous schedule of calendar events ranging from practice development, recruitment and talent management, partner collaboration (with SAP Ariba) and managing existing client commitments and scheduled meetings, follow-up on activities and client interactions.
Our employee-centric culture is what I love most about Accenture. I appreciate having the ability to be in control of and shape my career, and the opportunity to continuously learn and grow. I take tremendous pride in working for Accenture; there’s nothing dull about what we do.
As an Accenture alum who returned to the company after leaving in 2007, many of the people I previously hired, mentored and worked with have progressed to new levels of career success—that’s something I take great pride in. It’s a testament to the culture, where learning and growing is encouraged. One thing has remained the same: Accenture’s culture and core values and commitment to diversity—in fact, the commitment is even greater than before. When I’m not working, I play golf—and pay homage to my family for their patience and support!
