One of the most exciting things I’m currently working on at Accenture Digital is logistics blockchain. With blockchain technology, we are enabling multiple stakeholders to securely connect and conduct transactions without the need for a central database. This allows all parties to establish trust and feel confident in a single source of truth. Blockchain clearly holds potential for increasing transparency and productivity in the overall supply chain management. It keeps me motivated knowing that what I’m working on is making an impact in improving today’s complex supply chains.
Another thing I like about my job is the experience of teaming up with a diverse crew from six different nationalities across different time zones. It makes for an exciting day to interact with colleagues from various backgrounds and seeing the world through their eyes. Plus, it allows me to leverage on their unique strengths to drive exceptional results.
I also treasure mentoring younger employees. Mentoring is an enriching experience and wonderful opportunity for me as a leader – to give back and make a difference in someone else’s life by sharing my past experiences and advising my mentees on how to achieve their career goals.
In addition to my role at Accenture, I’m a volunteer at the Temple of Fine and Arts (TFA) and Annalakshmi. Through the volunteering activities, I’m humbly-heartened to have met many like-minded individuals out there who are very passionate in arts and deeply believe in giving back to the community. Besides, I enjoy dragon boating on weekends and I’m also part of the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps (SAFVC) – in which this involvement is what kept my reservist days fulfilling too.
