High Level Description
The functional SME would be responsible for driving the OMS project from requirement gathering till deploy. The consultant would need to propose to-be processes for the client based on best practices.
Responsibilities
Define the functional/business capabilities that need to be implemented to operationalize the business imperatives.
Define which application modules/components required to enable functional/business capabilities, which component will be built vs. re-used vs. integrated with, and how.
Work closely with the technical architects to ensure the application components align with a specific architecture component and meet performance goals.
Work with other architects to select the operating alternatives that form the overall operating strategy and business architecture.
Identify risks and assumptions associated with the applications.
Liaise with product vendor to clarify and align on the messaging back to the client
Prepare and deliver training to the client
Qualifications
5-8 years as a functional consultant in B2C e-Commerce projects
Have at least 2 OMS implementation experience with at least 1 complex project
Preferred to have knowledge of agile delivery
Document functional specifications, solution blueprints and solution/integration architecture diagrams.
Strong analytical/critical thinking to connect the dots
Good presentation skills with ability to elevate conversation to senior management
