Program & Project Mgmt Senior Manager
Improve organization performance and achieve program goals by developing and executing end-to-end project management activities. Demonstrate creativity and flexibility when creating and driving project plans and estimates, scope and requirements from implementation to deployment. Proactively manage and report on execution of deliverables. Master communicators across multiple stakeholders aligning priorities and direction.
Control delivery of programs, projects and/or managed services
Deliver desired business outcomes and/or service commitments through effective planning and execution
Manage the delivery effort including change, demand and support of operations management within schedule, cost, quality, effort and SLAs
Prioritize and manage the scope of the assigned program, project or contracted service Identify, understand and effectively manage milestones and dependencies across multiple stakeholders ensuring clear accountabilities and shared understanding of impact
Manage issues and risks of the assigned program, project, releases or contracted service
End to End Phase/Project Management
Manage the program/project from scoping and requirements through deployment for an end-to-end project or specific area of a project (e.g. build or test)
Proactively manage and monitor execution of deliverables and status in an effective manner Understand the fundamental solution being developed/deployed - its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall architecture or business operations, risks, etc.
Ensure that internal and external project resources with appropriate skill sets are provided
Escalate issues to management which cannot be resolved at the program/project level
Ensure resolution of cross segment/team project issues, risks, and/or conflicts
Manage critical path, dependencies, contingency and overall budget performance (e.g. Estimate At Completion (EAC) vs. budget)
Proactively eliminate critical path road blocks to help ensure successful delivery of the solution
Take steps to proactively mitigate project risk as defined/required in project plan.
Ensure stakeholders clearly understand what risks will or will not be mitigated
Ensure project members effectively manage dependencies, budgets, and schedule
Ensure the project stakeholders' expectations are understood and managed
Report and manage overall project/release status back to the project sponsor and stakeholders
Take responsibility for end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring timely delivery of high quality project deliverables through effective team communications and focus on quality
Validate that proper deliverable and phase stage containment is occurring where required, e.g., signoffs are scheduled and completed, dependent deliverables are completed, phase plans are completed and agreed to by project leads before the phase starts
Manage all change requests, validate all budget/schedule impacts, obtain the stakeholders' commitment, and communicate approved changes to all teams
Ensure peer and/or quality reviews are completed for each project and address findings with project team
Review and be responsible for the overall development and integration of requirements
Define the project iteration strategy. Manage and evaluate iterations
Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Manage relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract
Ensure that the project team follows all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions
Participate in quality management reviews
Ensure that the project's assigned portion of the business case planned value is delivered.
Monitors delivery of programs, projects and/or managed services
Monitors delivery performance and quality using metrics and status reporting and implement continuous improvements
Supports the management of financials, contractual, and operational commitments in alignment with contract and original deal economics, as well as cost management targets
People Management and Development
Mentor and provide guidance to project resources
Proactively assign work and provide instructions, advice and technical/business leadership and guidance to project staff; review work in progress in a timely manner and assess completed work for accuracy, required results and quality
Plan programs, projects and/or managed services
Baseline the scope and estimate and plan the work Plan and manage resourcing/staffing within a globally sourced delivery model
Process Capability Development and Special Initiatives
Comply with any required capability/process certification requirements (e.g., CMMI, ITIL) by following ADM/standard methodologies or ensuring waivers are submitted for any deviations
Continually improve program/project productivity
Project/Phase Planning and Estimating
Define the overall project scope with the project sponsor and key project/program stakeholders (e.g., delivery leadership team, solution architects etc.)
Develop program/project/phase plans and estimates through negotiations with the project sponsor, key stakeholders, and/or client as required
Determine needed deliverables, high level approach, project profile, responsible teams, overall project schedule/timeline, critical path by deliverable, productivity improvements, overall risks and planning assumptions using Accenture Delivery Methods (ADM) as required
Drive/evaluate estimates by deliverable and work with teams to optimize and reduce overall estimates
Create/consolidate project labor and expense estimate and generate work arrangement vehicles
Rich experience in the Finance Services industry with in-depth industry expertise including the industry/digital/technology trends
Preferred having at least 10 years working experience in consulting or account management
Demonstrate sustained client relations management experience at a C-suite level or operated at a senior management level in the industry role
Experience of working with C-level executives at the client organization
