Role description:

2nd Road Directors oversee and lead major client engagements and they contribute extensively to the development of the organization internally and externally. Their role is to:

  • Translate project proposals into detailed programs of work and shape project teams that will deliver value and align with or exceed client’s expectations, within the constraints of budget and time
  • Lead project teams and coordinate the delivery of client engagements through planning and timing of work and coordinating the division of work amongst team members
  • Manage senior client relationships and build a trusted advisor relationship with clients over time, developing an influential role in shaping their strategic agendas
  • Develop the capability of project team members, ensuring an appropriate standard of quality is achieved from both individuals and the team as a whole
  • Develop, capture and share new IP created through project delivery
  • Seek client feedback and apply it to continually raise the bar on project excellence at Second Road
  • Generate new business leads, develop proposals and pitch for new client work 
  • Support the career development of others through Second Road the career counselling program
  • Member of Second Road’s Strategy Forum, directing and driving internal projects that contribute to the growth of the Second Road business
  • Build relationships with peers at Accenture
  • Participate industry-related activities such as speaking engagements, publications or courses

Skills Requirements

Directors typically have 10 years+ of business/ relevant experience and may come from all walks of life. The ideal candidates could have a background in:

  • Design thinking and/or strategic innovation
  • The Arts
  • Law
  • Management consulting
  • Industrial design
  • Organisational strategy/ change
