People in the Sales career track grow pipeline and sales by supporting, managing or leading the origination and/or closing of sales opportunities in a specific area or across a range of Accenture offerings. They progress by deepening sales skills and/or developing new related skills, growing into more complex sales roles, laterally, upward, or in their current role.
Sales professionals drive the sales process and outcomes on a dedicated basis, growing a profitable pipeline and/or backlog of sales, through deal origination, sales negotiations and closure.
The Application Services Account Executive Senior Manager act as influencers and experts, building Accenture Application Services business across a client to drive high performance. They drive incremental sales on existing assigned accounts to include but not limited to testing, factory development, project control services or other Application Services businesses. They build and deepen relationships to expand work in new areas of the business helping their clients to see the possibility of the future through differentiated offerings and services. The key responsibilities are as follows:

Drive the sales process

  • Originate and close sales to achieve sales and pipeline targets across new and existing channels
  • Understand and leverage Accenture’s sales best practices, tools, processes and reporting

Grow a profitable sales pipeline and/or backlog

  • Build strong, credible relationships with client executives as well as Accenture colleagues
  • Coordinate the sales team and bring the right talent to sales origination and closing activities, as warranted
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure efficient, effective use of business development resources
  • Understand Accenture assets, offerings and methodologies to match to client business needs effectively


  • Experience in Sales Execution in the Human Capital Management Solutions domain.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
  • Have a minimum of 8 – 10 years in relevant industry
  • Minimum of Bachelor/Master degree

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment 
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
