Agile Consultant Job Description – Consultant Level
Our Agile practice is one of the strategic and fast growing capability groups within Accenture being responsible for pioneering, evangelizing and championing Agile practices at our clients. We are looking for new enthusiastic colleagues who can bring Agile thought leadership to enable our clients to reach the next Agile maturity levels. Our goal is to become market leader in Agile Practices. You will be part of a dedicated group within Accenture that is focused on agile delivery, coaching and training for our clients. 
Job Description
Agile professionals define an adaptive model based on greater collaboration and communication between teams; Agile is a cultural change that impacts people, processes and tools in different ways across the organization; based on iterative, time boxed and incremental approach, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing and cross-functional teams.
Agile Consultants help adopt and improve agile at project or enterprise level. A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following general responsibilities:
  • Should have development experience for at least 3-4 years in digital technologies.
  • A team member and excellent facilitator
  • Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects as Scrum Master
  • Interacts with middle and senior management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters.
  • Works as part of large teams at a client or within Accenture.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have hands on development experience in digital projects and an ability to do code review, refactoring and good understanding of CI /CD process.
  • Ability to design and build solutions which work across a range of devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops
  • Wide technical horizon and practical experiences in multiple technology stacks
  • Ability to provide user-centric solutions, which users find simple and intuitive to use
  • Proven experience of designing, building and delivering working solutions which meet customer needs.
  • Experience of User Experience led design, ability to deliver frequently and adapt to changing requirements.
Academic Qualifications:
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field.
  • Min of 5 years of software development experience with client facing skills/exposure
  • Min of 2+ years of agile transformation and delivery
  • 1 or more of the following certifications:
    • Certified Scrum Master
Preferred Qualifications:      
  • Experience in working as a scrum team member/lead
  • Experience in working in a distributed agile environment
  • Experience working with multi-site teams as a Scrum Master
  • Experience in Agile engineering practices like TDD, XP, Continuous Delivery, DevOps is an advantage
Professional Skill Requirements
  • Prior Software Development experience in the role of a developer or designer is an added advantage for this position
  • Exposure in working with enterprise Agile frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD)
  • Experience in working in an organization that transformed from waterfall to agile
  • Hands on experience in working as Scrum Master for at least 2 projects
  • Develop and deliver Agile consulting solutions to Accenture clients
  • Ability to conduct role based agile trainings for various roles within an organization
  • Knowledge on defining and implementing agile metrics for a program
  • Hands on experience in working with agile tools like Rally, Jira, Version One etc.
  • Provide coaching, training, mentoring to Accenture client organizations on Agile, Lean and related methodologies
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

50% travel is required
