Life at Accenture is all about creating change. Every day, our people apply their passion for innovation in transforming not only businesses, but also communities and lives around the world. To accomplish this, we tap the power of technology and human creativity and collaborate with organizations and groups to bring to life solutions to pressing social challenges.
In Thailand, we work hand in hand with schools, nonprofits and other firms to ignite change in society. We share highlights of our initiatives and impact below.
Children from underprivileged backgrounds often lack educational opportunities to develop their talents and skills. To help address their need, we implemented the Young Entrepreneurship Development Program in partnership with humanitarian organization Plan International. The program equips young people with business, work and life skills for starting a small enterprise as a means of sustainable livelihood.
Volunteers from Accenture help design the curriculum and conduct the training camp. In 2020, we taught 100 underprivileged youths through the program and supported 10 pilot businesses established by trainees.

Since implementation, 600 youths have benefited from the program. Many of them come from the hill tribes, the most disadvantaged groups in Thai society. For eight consecutive years, our work with them earned gold level recognition in corporate social responsibility excellence from the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM).
The Consulting Analyst Program Community Outreach Program (CAPCOP) specializes in helping nonprofit organizations improve their operations or services. In 2020, we put ourselves in the service of the Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) and the Education for Development Foundation (EDF).

Our CAPCOP members worked with TCFE to streamline and improve management of large volumes of data. We equipped the nonprofit with tools for data storage and analysis and delivered a live dashboard for performance tracking and reporting. These innovations enabled TCFE to come up with smarter ways to use data to achieve their goals.
We then focused on helping EDF rethink and revamp their fundraising strategies. We conducted extensive research on donation trends in Thailand and on successful charity organizations. Consequently, we generated information and insights to enable EDF to formulate highly effective fundraising solutions.
People with impaired hearing or hearing loss can overcome communication barriers through sign language. To help enable this with technology, a group of Accenture volunteers created WellSign, a first-of-its-kind, cloud-based mobile application for personalized and self-paced learning and teaching of Thai sign language.

Launched in early 2020, the app will see continued enhancement of features in preparation for its nationwide rollout with our partner, the Setsatian School for the Deaf. Its creation has earned recognition from Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
As the pandemic caused a ripple of change in labor supply and demand in the market, Accenture stepped in to help. We took part in the global initiative to create People + Work Connect, a business-to-business platform that connects employers reducing their workforce with those expanding theirs.
In collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce, we involved leading Thai organizations in the initiative, so that workers in the country can find ways to stay employed during the pandemic. Employers across industries can hire more quickly and easily using an analytics-powered platform that supplies nonconfidential but relevant workforce information.
You can help shape new ways to impact the world too. Join Accenture today to find out how!
