People, Machines and Culture – How Accenture is Shaping the Future Through HR

While there has been much focus on investment in technology, at Accenture, we believe that it is just as important to build a talent pool that is capable of leveraging automation and AI to create a smarter, human-centric experience for our clients.

At LinkedIn’s Talent Intelligence Experience event in Singapore, Lay Lim Teo, Senior Managing Director for ASEAN and Country Managing Director for Singapore, Andrew Vo, Head of HR for AAPAC and Grace Yip, Head of HR for ASEAN shared insights on how Accenture creates a culture and employee experience that strives to attract and build the talent pool of tomorrow now.

Talent is the heart of Accenture and it is crucial to equip our people with the right mindset and skills to navigate the disruptive world. As roles evolve, employees are presented with the opportunities to grow, transform and make a positive impact on the world we live in.

We focus on building a culture where the collective thrives, rather than one that celebrates the individual “rockstars”. Creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and fosters an understanding that the more we invest in ourselves, the more equipped we are to take on the challenges we are presented with.

This is especially important when we have a multi-generational workforce at Accenture – we have generations of talent working together from Gen Z in their early twenties, to the Gen Xers in their fifties!

With the increase in varying experiences, expertise and needs in today’s workforce, the Accenture HR team derives insights from data and uses modern methods to deepen our engagement with our employees. Working closely with the business, HR helps to build a relevant workforce that can continue making innovative, transformative work with our clients.

Said Andrew Vo, “In this age of digital disruption, there is a lot of talk about automation, AI and machines, along with how machines and humans will interact. However, as part of the workforce transformation, it is important to recognize that we still need to take a human-centric approach to talent, and to our business.”
