I joined Accenture as an experienced hire, leaving a life of consulting and joining a corporate function within what had been my client up to that point. It was an exciting move that has given me the chance to “see things from the inside” and to better understand large company dynamics. With my history, I am also well equipped to assess and handle external agencies from a buyer’s point of view.
I help a select number of DTE:s recruit experienced hires, but have worked with almost all of Accenture’s business areas over the years. It is very rewarding to understand the differences as well as the similarities between different DTE:s, gaining a more holistic view of such an all-encompassing global consulting company. Apart from the day-to-day recruiting, I also join or lead projects on how to improve our processes and ways of collaborating, both internally within HR and towards the business, but to some degree also with external suppliers of recruitment associated services.
One of the favorite parts of my role is to conduct the recurring interview training for our consultants, who continuously interview candidates to determine who will become part of Accenture’s future consulting force. It feels really rewarding to pass on my learnings, to help ensure that we identify and attract the best talent to meet our clients’ needs. Every session a new question is raised, which keeps me on my toes and urges me to seek for the information I don’t already have an answer for.
