My day usually starts with our daily stand-ups. Our team is spread across the world and this connect is a good opportunity for us to keep in touch and ask for support when needed. I work with various projects & releases at the same time, so depending on which phase each project is in, I would either be putting together our service transition time plan, facilitating risk management meetings, looking into our over-all readiness or keeping our client up-to-date through regular status reporting. At my current assignment, there is a whole Accenture body, so you don’t feel stranded on your own as a consultant. But you also get to work closely with the client as well as collaborate with other consulting companies. This has been very good for me personally because not only do you feel you are a part of an Accenture team, but you also get a lot of exposure to external parties and their different ways of working. Outside of the client work frame and depending on the time of the year, I would either be working with our Women in Tech Coordinating Activities or taking part in some of the various Accenture events. Throughout my time at Accenture, I took part in recruiting events, corporate citizenship volunteering opportunities, networking events, sports events, game nights, and pride parades. There is really something for everyone and that is just amazing!
