Working as a consultant, a day in my life can vary a lot from one day to another. It all depends on your current role and project. It also depends on what happens outside of the project, since a big part of working at Accenture also includes internal work and engagements. Although, a typical day would start with checking the email and act on respective actions. If I am working at the office I could take a coffee with my colleagues before the status meetings start. Nowadays you can often choose to work at home or from the Accenture office. If agreed with the client, you can also sit at their location. The status meeting covers status updates for open points and is an opportunity for the team to discuss current topics and help each other out. During the day I continue with my client work, both outside and inside of the system, and engage in meetings such as workshops and different alignments. The variety of the tasks and the people you meet is what is exciting working as a consultant. Apart from the client work, I am engaged internally in different SAP related initiatives. Event planning, organization of knowledge sharing sessions and onboarding of new colleagues could also therefore be parts of my everyday work. To me the internal part and the colleagues you meet is what encourages me the most in Accenture. If the situation allows, there are usually many different activities outside of work where you can engage such as sports events, gaming events, after works and knowledge sessions with interesting discussions and dinners. When I am at home and it is time for bed, I can fall asleep knowing that the next day will be different to the other, providing me with new challenges and opportunities to work on.
