Position: Tax Manager
Reporting: The successful candidate will be a member of the European Corporate Tax Group, and will report to the UK, Ireland and Nordic Tax Director.
Location: role is based in London, Dublin or Stockholm.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for providing internal advice on corporate acquisitions, structuring client engagements, identification of planning opportunities and control of tax compliance and risk management. The role requires a proactive approach, seeking out issues and opportunities, analyzing them and developing and implementing proposals from inception to completion.
The successful candidate will be expected to advise and work with regional management, senior finance and legal personnel, treasury, controllership and other Accenture Global Tax Group (GTG) members throughout the world on a full range of tax matters. The job has various aspects, ranging from routine consultation and review to the structuring of significant transactions. Compliance activities comprise tax return review and internal forecasting and reporting.
The role requires the ability to:
Advise on Mergers and Acquisitions from due diligence through to integration
Advise on the most tax efficient structure for client engagements, working with the Client (as required), Client Tax Matters, Client Development Transaction Services, Legal, Client Financial Management and where relevant, external advisors
Support on developing tax initiatives and obtaining the approval of GTG stakeholders for their implementation
Coordinate with the UK, Ireland and Nordic Tax Director to support and keep informed Country Management, and the Managing Directors’ group on the implementation of local as well as global initiatives
Communicate complex and innovative tax concepts in a business structured manner, to a diverse business management audience
Advise Legal, Treasury and Country Controllership on measures to manage risk and to maximize financial returns
Support and provide direction to Country Controllership in all tax matters
Solicit and manage the input of external professional advisers
Coordinate with the Reginal Tax Director to support global leadership in the successful implementation of global initiatives across EALA (e.g. share plans)
Work with other tax groups to coordinate/harmonize in country tax planning (e.g. Client Tax Matters and Individual Tax Matters)
Provide support on local controversy matters, in coordination with the Regional Tax Director and the Tax Controversy Group.
