Media Management Consultant


The Accenture Media Management domain is part of Accenture Operations.  A successful, and fast growing practice, within Accenture. The group has over 200 media experienced professionals working in 28 countries.


We work with a portfolio of Nordic and International clients and their media agencies to understand the communications strategy and then analyse the efficiency of their media planning and buying. We work across all media (TV, Digital, Print, Radio and Outdoor) and are employed to increase accountability and increased value to the client, by demonstrating where an agency is performing well and identify areas for improvement potential. 


The Media Management scope extends from the measurement and evaluation of media, to agency pitch management, digital media verification and consultancy, financial contract compliance etc.  


Digital media is not only the key media channel, but also the most exciting and dynamic media area, where constant change and increasing complexity mean that consultative digital media evaluation is more important to clients than ever. We’re looking for an individual who can deliver through both our core measurement services and through new digital evaluation approaches across display, search, video, social and mobile. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape our digital business and drive growth for the future. 


Skills and Experience:


  • Experience from digital/TV media planning, buying and execution with 3+ years client, media agency or owner background (preferably in a digital context)
  • Practical knowledge across the varying areas of digital media including display, search, social, video and mobile
  • Experience working with key technologies related to the planning, buying, delivery and measurement of online media (for example data tools, trading desks, programmatic and RTB, ad serving technologies, verification technologies)
  • Project Management skills, where you manage the day-to-day project operations and take full responsibility for delivering all required elements of a project.   
  • Confident communicator and presenter able to explain complex information to audiences of varying degrees of digital and general media expertise
  • Ability to build and maintain credible and effective working relationships with a number of varying stakeholders across many levels of an organisation, including internal teams, clients, media agencies, media owners and technology or data providers
  • Solutions-driven individual with an eye for finding data-driven insight
  • Experience analysing and interpreting data to create meaningful insight and actions for clients



Role Responsibilities


  • Understanding the strategy behind the media planning and the corresponding results, in order to enhance our service to clients. This may be the target audience, sales objectives, competitive context and implications of the marketplace
  • Conducting high quality analysis with great attention to detail, assessing the performance of the agency and identifying any efficiency that can be made. 
  • Build trusted-advisor status with Accenture Media Management clients 
  • Use existing Accenture methodologies, platforms and tools to shape and deliver insight and action for clients
  • Coordinate projects on a global scale, including multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Create new solutions to client challenges to extend our offering primarily within the area of digital media
  • Possess and proactively maintain an educated opinion on the industry, keeping ahead of the latest media trends and marketplace conditions that may affect our clients’ business
  • Proactively network with Accenture Interactive and other Accenture teams to develop knowledge on our broader digital, media and marketing services to inform client about these solutions


The ideal candidate: 


  • 3+ years of experience from media, digital and/or TV (either agency, client or media owner side)
  • Experience in Nordic media 
  • Exposure to or experience in trading
  • Educated to degree standard or higher, preferably in marketing or statistics
  • Confident and self-motivated
  • Numerical with advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Project leading experience, with good ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and teams on a global scale
  • Good MS-Office skills
  • Great team spirit, with high level of flexibility, creativity and commitment 
  • An ambassador for Accenture Media Management with the ability to establish credibility with clients and agencies
  • Able to handle critical situations and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills
  • Very good skills in English and Swedish
