We are now looking for a Transaction Contracting Lawyer

As Transaction Contracting lawyer, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a large number of client transactions of various levels of complexity within a corporate environment, including: IT project agreements, consulting agreements, outsourcing contracts, subcontract agreements, teaming agreements, requests for proposals, letters of intent, memorandums of understanding and contract amendments. You render legal advice for internal business teams and advise company leadership on legal risks associated with transactions throughout the whole lifecycle of IT projects and represent Accenture’s interest in client negotiations. You will also assist more senior Transaction Contracting professionals in managing complex transaction work within a fast-moving corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize with company executives prior to client negotiations.
  • Structure client transactions to be most advantageous from a contracting and business perspective.
  • Advise and consult company professionals based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments for business opportunities
  • Participate in developing internal guidelines, toolkits and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues.
  • Educate company professionals in regards to contracting and risk management issues.
  • Represent the company’s interests and interface directly with client negotiating teams.
  • Oversee, counsel, guide, train and support junior contracting professionals.
  • Stay abreast of contracting developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company’s contracting practices.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in one of more areas that benefit Contracting and/or our business.
  • Support, promote and implement Legal Group initiatives.


We are looking for a commercially oriented professional with an excellent legal and contractual understanding. You should be an analytical and business oriented problem solver, who can see the big picture of a project. You independently manage drafting transactional documents and correspondence and understand basic principles of Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Management. You are a self-starter, responsive and follow through on commitments. In addition to this:


  • A Master degree in law is required;
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience including a minimum of 3 years of contracting experience in an appropriate fast-paced corporate environment is essential:
  • Consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing experience is preferred;
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills in both English and Finnish is required, additional Nordic language skills are an advantage;
  • Excellent judgement is critical.
  • An understanding of Intellectual Property issues as they apply to consulting, systems integration and outsourcing transactions, is necessary.
  • You have a proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions, a strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • You are able to present alternatives and pro-actively propose solutions.
