SAP BTP Development Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SAP BTP Development Lead to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will oversee the design, development, and deployment of applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and alignment with business requirements across Finance, HCM, and SCM processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP BTP development, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead SAP BTP development activities, including architecture, design, and implementation of custom applications and extensions.
Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Guide development teams on SAP BTP best practices, coding standards, and governance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Ensure seamless integration of BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and other cloud solutions.
Monitor development progress, manage technical risks, and ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet business objectives.
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize application performance for reliability and scalability.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment guides, and version control processes to support transparency and audit readiness.
Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, tools, and trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP development, with a focus on SAP BTP and cloud-based solutions.
Proven experience in leading development teams in large-scale SAP transformation programs.
Strong expertise in SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and SAP integration.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP BTP services, including Cloud Foundry, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Extension Suite.
Strong understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 development, OData services, and CAP-based application development.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and other cloud solutions.
Familiarity with SAP development governance, security standards, and best practices.
Leadership and Management Skills:
Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams, enforce coding standards, and promote a culture of technical excellence.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
Experience in process mapping, gap analysis, and designing technical solutions to meet business requirements.
Communication and Collaboration Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams.
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional and global teams and ensure seamless project delivery.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
SAP certifications in BTP, Fiori/UI5, or S/4HANA development are a plus.
