SAP Technical Basis Manager
The SAP Technical Basis Manager (CL7) is responsible for the technical stability, performance, and security of SAP landscapes supporting Accenture client engagements. The role requires strong hands-on SAP Basis expertise and acts as a senior technical point of contact within delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on SAP Basis administration across SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager).
- Lead SAP system installs, upgrades, patching, transports, refreshes, and performance tuning.
- Act as senior escalation point for complex SAP technical and production issues.
- Monitor system health, capacity, and availability; perform proactive performance optimization.
- Manage SAP user administration, roles, authorizations, and system security in line with Accenture and client standards.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations and testing.
- Contribute to SAP transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA and cloud or hybrid deployments.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and client teams to ensure end-to-end solution stability.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior SAP Basis resources.
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in complex SAP environments.
- Strong experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP NetWeaver.
- Expertise in SAP administration, upgrades, performance tuning, and transport management.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred:
- SAP Basis and/or S/4HANA certification.
- Experience in consulting or multi-client delivery environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, SAP BTP).
- ITIL or service management background.
