About the internship


We will offer you a challenging internship that gives you a flavor of, and a good fundamental to understand how it is to work as a consultant for a large global consulting company. The projects you will be deployed to will be real-life ongoing project for one of our large clients in the Middle-East region. You will work in teams with experienced Accenture and client teams with a variety of educational backgrounds, with good help, guidance and support from one or more Accenture Consultants and/or Project-Leads.  High-performing candidates have a good chance to be offered a permanent position with us after the internship is conducted.

Job Description

The role of Lead Front-end Developer overlaps between UX, Creative and Back-end integration support. Being a creative first full-service digital agency the Lead Front-end Developer bridges the gap between a very opinionated UX/Creative team and the technical implementation for the creative proposition, any objection to that must be backed by strong and viable technical reasoning. You should have strong grasp of responsive website design and development patterns, principles and workflow. To achieve this integrated approach, the qualified candidate must have a deep understanding of user experience and creative aesthetics while implementing across multi-device layouts. Ultimately the Lead Frontend Developer would be responsible for all aspects of front-end architecture and development including all project related browser and server technologies responsible for rendering the user experience.

     Participate in architecting and defining the Front-end framework to solve complex designs and interactions that reflect the user experience and creative proposition.

     Able to shift between a creative and a technical focus depending on the project need and/or the type of project

     Help writing technical documentation (admin guides), white papers, presentations


●      A computer science student or graduate having a good grasp of data structures and algorithms
●      Understanding of front-end application architecture and development
●      Some experience with coding modular object-oriented JavaScript
●      Knowledge and understanding about JavaScript design patterns (Factory Pattern, Strategy Pattern, Module Pattern, Reveal Pattern, Facade Pattern, Asynchronous Module Definition etc.)
●      Familiar with jQuery framework and patterns used. Should be able to write custom plugins for jQuery.
●      Knowledge about JavaScript MV* frameworks
●      Familiar with AngularJS framework and its constructs like custom directives, services etc
●      Familiar with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS, STYLUS)
●      Understanding and hand-on experience with writing modular CSS using SMACSS and Object Oriented CSS methodologies
●      Understanding of front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Semantic-UI and Foundation
●      Familiar with RESTful APIs
●      Familiar with writing JavaScript unit tests (Jasmine + Karma)
●      Familiar with front-end tooling able to write automation tasks for Grunt
●      Familiar with architecture and development of front-end tailored for various Content Management Systems in the likes of Sharepoint, Umbraco, Episerver, Sitefinity and Sitecore.
