The Network Operations Centre provides Infrastructure support for the Client's Global Data and Voice Network servicing 8500 Locations Worldwide the Security Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination, development, and operational strategy of IT security solutions.

 

 

  • Provide a Management Capability for the Security Operations Team
  • In-Line with NOC Standards develop the Operational Strategy for the Security Operations Team
  • Design and Document Support Processes suitable to maintain agreed OLA and SLAs
  • Provide a Management Escalation Point for all Security Related Issues
  • Produce Monthly Status Reports Measuring the Performance of the Security Infrastructure and Team against pre-agreed KPI's and Metrics
  • Attend conference calls for security coordination, new and evolving services (i.e. WAC, GFR, IDS, VPN) and change coordination
  • Provide Input into the RCA and Problem Management Process following a Major Incident
  • Provide performance feedback to members of the team verbally and written annually
  • Ensuring that new products and services are supported by the NOC and that newly defined processes and procedures are understood by the team.
  • Handling and Escalating operational issues to upper  Management and/or 3rd party vendor escalation
  • Ensures team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs
  • Provide day-to-day administration, career development, mentoring, and human resources policy administration for all members of the Security team
  • Responsibility for weekly team conference calls, team building, and recruiting activities
  • Identify primary monitoring and management requirements for the defined security standards
  • Ensure appropriate team resources and staffing schedule are identified to provide Tier 3 escalation support on a 7x24x365 basis
  • Ensure issues are handled within agreed OLA timelines
  • Participate in client calls.
  • Participate in change review calls.
  • Ownership for resolution of chronic network issues.
  • Serve as managerial escalation point for globally-impacting service interruptions and coordinate corresponding troubleshooting and resolution activities

  • 8+ years experience in a large scale network environment, ASA or fortinet firewall certifications preferable
  • Experience in F5 technology (LTM, GTM & ASM)
  • 5+ Years Management experience in an operations or technical support environment
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Previous experience or aptitude to be successful in an Administration and Operations capacity.

  • Firewall systems (ASA, Fortinet), VPN Technologies (IPsec, SSL, Nortel, Cisco)
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Authentication, authorization, encryption mechanisms (LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, PKI, SSL, SSH)
  • Intrusion detection systems (network based, host based, signature, heuristic)
  • Experience with Cisco router and switch infrastructures
  • Working knowledge or proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Awk)
  • Working knowledge with Encryption Technologies/Virtual Private Networks
  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies utilized within an Internet/Intranet environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Firewall Concepts - balance of strong sys admin versus security perspectives
  • Substantial knowledge of data security concepts
  • Knowledgeable of TCP\IP
  • Strong Knowledge of Intrusion techniques & detection, Routing fundamentals, DNS, NFS / NIS and DHCP          

Knowledge of DMVPN and GETVPN technolologies
