What I Do

I am a Solution Architect and I work in the Accenture Operations Opportunity team. Our job is to create a winning solution that meets the client's needs and differentiates Accenture from the competition.

In short we are creating the solution around which the Business Process Outsourcing project is built before it reaches the Transition team and the Operations teams (the team that is delivering the services to the client). We do this by working closely with the client to make sure we understand all of his needs and translate all the requirements into a deliverable solution plan agreed by the Operations teams.

Day in my Life

Being a Solution Architect makes each day different from the previous one, The one thing links all together is the daily review of the “To-do list” - vital for my daily planning.

Depending on the stage of the project I work on, the day may include conference calls with stakeholders across the globe (client employees and Accenture colleagues), project planning and objectives, reports or travelling to client locations for workshops and meetings.

What I really like about my job is that I am in constant contact with people across the globe and from here comes the diversity and learning from others.

Outside the Office/Work

When you are working for a multinational company is always important to find the right work-life balance and I am happy to say that I’ve managed to find it.

I like spending my time with my family and friends, talking, going out or just playing board games (that is fun, you should try it!).

I am also a passionate traveler and I enjoy discovering new places and new people, but if I would have to choose any place on this Planet where I would want to live, definitely that would be Asia because of the climate, landscapes and people.

My Advice

My advice is to open minded, really enjoy the work you are doing and try to get involved in as many project as possible, because this way you get to know many people and learn a lot from them. At Accenture we have some great leaders and an open culture that encourages collaborations across the globe.

Also remember that the best way to learn is to go out of your comfort zone and make the impossible, possible. This worked really well for me, as I’ve passed with success from Human Resources to Finance area without having any Economical background.
