CORE and Global Services Legal (CGS) is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different legal areas such as Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Ethics, Procurement, Corporate Matters the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations.
What are your responsibilities?
- Review global software products and provide practical legal risk analyses, mitigation strategies, and client facing terms for those products.
- Work with the Operations Business teams to evaluate the technology related to Operations Business offerings including reviewing inbound technology and data supply templates/agreements and outbound or client facing templates in different geographies, industries and regulatory environments.
- Develop clear communication messages, guidance, templates and trainings regarding the technology/data components of offerings and services for sales and go to market teams, offering development teams, technical teams and the rest of the Legal organization on how to bring software products to market in a legally compliant and strategic manner.
- Independently review, draft, and negotiating complex alliance and vendor technology transaction agreements and advising internal procurement professionals on preferred positions.
- Draft terms of use to enable the incorporation of Accenture´s and/or 3P tools into a client-facing solution in a BPO/BPS deal.
- Analyze, review and provide input on other type of requests, such as SOAP (Software Offering Assessment Portal) requests, non-Open Source Software (OSS) licenses reviews, etc.
- Perform research of laws and regulations or technical aspects applicable to assigned requests, consulting as necessary.
Qualifications
What will help you succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing
- Travel may be required
- Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills
- Technology transactional experience either in drafting and negotiating technology focused client facing and/or vendor facing agreements (i.e. data licensing, software as a service agreements, cloud, software license agreements, or software development agreements).
- Working knowledge of: (a) data and security privacy issues; (b) IP law; (c) OSS licensing; and (d) general product development considerations. Understanding connection between in-bound agreements and client-facing agreements.
- Good experience in generic/legal research and reporting, including due diligence
- Able to work with internal and external teams to assist with day-to-day support and to understand delivery requirements
- Basic understanding of Accenture offerings and function specific services performed
- Good understanding of commercial agreements, legal and compliance principles
- Understand general basic corporate business practices and contracting regulations
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Comfortable with technology and has experience in the use of tools & databases.
- Ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior leadership
- Effectively manage priorities and stakeholder expectations
- Build trust-based relationships by delivering on commitments
- Able to effectively influence senior leadership
