Industry X (IX) Role Summary – Industry X combines Accenture’s powerful data and digital capabilities with deep engineering expertise to offer clients a broad suite of services for digitizing their engineering and manufacturing functions, improving productivity, speeding up the transformation of hardware into software-enabled products, and allowing for faster and more flexible product development.
Generic Responsibilities
Understands Global Services Legal area needs and priorities, strategy, objectives, and opportunities
Good understanding of relevant company policies
Enhance subject-matter expertise in the concerned support area
Act as a POC and escalation point for the support area
Understand, suggest, and encourage process improvements in the support area
Collaborate with tech teams in development of new tool or enhancement of existing ones
Create checklists and other process documents
Represent GLN; directly liaison with internal stakeholders on various issues
Supervise the management of SharePoint and communication records
Identify and drive trainings for the team for upskilling and professional development
Support implementation of new initiatives in Global Services Legal support area or within Legal/GLN
Build credible and effective relationships with onshore counsels and within GLN team
Drive recruitment efforts for the team
Effectively manage direct reports and any assigned team; quick conflict resolution
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior members of the team
Provide individuals with positive and developmental feedback
Drive Talent Discussions for the assigned team/team members
Proactively try to ‘give back’ to GLN/Legal.
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role:
Offering/Asset Investigation:
Single point of contact to gather use case information from Business
Risk spotting (with oversight/input from on shore resources for guardrails & guidance)
Template / enablement guidance preparation
Coordination with technical asset horizontal resources to facilitate OSS, ECATT, Provenance / Vendor contract reviews (assuming these are part of the horizontal; if not, these will be undertaken by the resource)
Support to Clean Teams:
Protocol Audits
Training / onboarding to new team members
Exit / offboarding reviews
Post cutover SME support / FPOC for to “low risk” acquisition capabilities
Qualifications
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Pragmatic and practical in their approach to advising and delivering legal support;
- A good communicator and well organized; and
- Candidates should have demonstrated interest in, industry awareness or prior knowledge of key Industry X technologies, such as digital manufacturing, digital twins, Internet of Things/edge computing, cloud computing, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence.
- Candidates will ideally also have experience with one or more of:
- Risk identification, analysis, and management relating to product design & engineering, and/or operational technology, as distinct from information technology consulting;
- Product liability in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer contexts;
- Applicable regulatory landscapes and their effect on product and service qualification, development & launch (e.g., for hardware, embedded systems, and/or software);
- Drafting and negotiation of client and supplier agreements, including understanding of intellectual property, data privacy and data protection issues; and
- Developing trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
- Knowledge/Experience in offering reviews & product counsel support, agreement drafting, review and negotiation, identifying risks and proposing solutions.

- Good understanding of commercial agreements, legal and compliance principles
- Good understanding of corporate business practices and contracting regulations
- Comfortable with technology and has experience in the use of tools & databases
- Ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior leadership
- Effectively manage priorities and stakeholder expectations
- Build trust-based relationships by delivering on commitments.

External Relationships:
- Accenture Legal Counsels, Client, Contract Management, Stakeholders, Business executives, outside counsels and partners, Marketing & Communications and clients.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Law
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing, with a preference for prior experience advising on the development, launch, and ongoing operation of product and service offerings (including ‘as-a-Service’ offerings).
Work Requirements:
- Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills.
