Job Description

Every day is a process of growth, being responsible of:

  • Provide support to legal professional and procurement on queries related to data privacy laws, compliance requirements, country-specific regulations and procurement contracting requests;

  • Review of data privacy related clauses in supplier agreements and related documents, with special focus on EU model clauses and data transfer agreements;

  • Provide advice on engagement of suppliers, subcontractors/sub-processors;

  • Participate in internal calls with legal professionals and business teams to provide advice on data privacy related contractual matters;

  • Participate in external calls with counsel and/or data privacy officers to provide support to contracting professionals on data privacy specific discussions;

  • Follow and keep track of legal changes, news and developments related to data privacy laws at global level, and prepare internal materials and communications;

  • Research country-specific data privacy laws and regulations and prepare reports;

  • Draft guidance materials, legal document templates and training decks for internal use;

  • Participate in required trainings and work sessions.

Skills that make your work successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing

  • Travel may be required

  • Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Good understanding of data privacy principles and regulations required to assist and advise on data privacy issues in client engagements.

  • Good experience in generic/legal research and reporting, including due diligence

  • Demonstrate promptness, accuracy and consistency with the activities supported   

  • Demonstrate autonomy, take ownership, and drive tasks to closure

  • Detail-oriented, sound judgement, organized, and adaptable

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and analytical skills

  • Able to work with internal and external teams to assist with day to day support and to understand delivery requirements

  • Good understanding of commercial agreements, legal and compliance principles

  • Understand general basic corporate business practices and contracting regulations

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

  • Ability to work under pressure, with exposure to senior leadership

  • Effectively manage priorities and stakeholder expectations

  • Build trust-based relationships by delivering on commitments
