As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be in charge of testing, implementation, maintenance and support of IT Systems in order to provide maximum availability and optimal performance according with assigned requirements.

Job description:

  • Install, configure and maintain advanced IT equipment and high availability IT operating systems, In order to ensure complete functioning in terms agreed, approved and described in the IT SLA.
  • Implement and Apply Security Policies requirements in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting for IT systems in order to provide fast and effective resolution to minimize downtime and or restore operations.
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate IT systems hardware software needs and make recommendations for optimizations and change requests in order to maximize reliability and availability.
  • Assure support for quality assurance testing and regression testing to evaluate and qualify new IT systems hardware software to be implemented.
  • Provide recommendations for software upgrades for environments in responsibility, to keep and be able to maintain best vendor support for it.
  • Performs IT systems checking and validation tests according to operational procedures in place.
  • Directly communicate with other teams infrastructure or applications for quick resolution of services disruption.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Solid and provable knowledge regarding Linux different flavours and Unix Operating Systems Four plus years of experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in managing storage systems from vendors such as EMC, NetApp, HP, IBM, Hitachi Four plus years of experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Extensive understanding of Linux Unix OS security, as well as its interaction with other network components.
  • High level knowledge regarding WAN LAN protocols and topologies, switches, routers, remote access methods clients.
  • Knowledge of OSI network principles, concepts, practices, terminologies
  • Solid understanding of OS monitoring and related applications for errors and or failures as well as proactive predictive fault resolution
  • Solid knowledge of server array network storage. Desirable also knowledge of Enterprise Tape Backup Libraries components.
  • Experience in data backups and restores working with dedicated solutions Legato Networker, Netbackup etc .
  • Experience with various Linux Unix services and components including Directory Services, Group Policies, scripting and security.
  • Ability to communicate fluent, clearly and concisely in English interface directly with internal and external clients and support
  • Availability for working in shifts or off working hours and off base sites.
  • Technical University degree Bachelor of Science


Nice to have:

  • Romanian speaker or knowledge would be a plus
  • Exadata Exalogic exposure
  • Experience with Cloud tenants Azure, AWS, and GCP preferred
  • Capacity to develop independently on an assigned task.
  • Any certification in Linux Unix
