Kai Nowosel became the Chief Procurement Officer for Accenture in 2017. As CPO, he has transformed procurement at Accenture into a world-class function, one that is delivering value above and beyond what is expected of traditional procurement. Prior to this role, Mr. Nowosel led Accenture's Sourcing & Procurement practice globally.
Before joining Accenture in 2005, Mr. Nowosel spent 12 years in the global procurement industry where he acted as Divisional CPO for Commercial Operations at Sanofi Aventis for five years and ran procurement operations at Deutsche Bank for seven years.
Mr. Nowosel specializes in advising chief procurement officers and procurement function leads across a wide spectrum of industries on the digitalization and value contribution of procurement. Another passion of Mr. Nowosel is Responsible Buying which is integral to his own practice and something he speaks and advises on regularly. He is the author of Accenture “Future of Procurement” studies. Mr. Nowosel was recognized by the CIPS Procurement Power List in 2021 and 2020.
Mr. Nowosel is based in Frankfurt, Germany where he lives with his wife and two children. If he isn’t in the office, you might find him out for a run, playing tennis, or enjoying time with the family.
