Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications tailored to fulfill specific business process and application needs. This role requires a thoughtful approach to understanding the unique requirements of each project and translating them into effective software solutions. The workday often includes collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that the applications developed align with organizational goals and support seamless business operations. Continuous refinement and adjustment of applications to meet evolving demands are also integral parts of the daily routine, fostering innovation and efficiency within the business environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for application development.
- Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and validation.
- Maintain documentation related to application design, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with technical challenges.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Experience in designing and implementing data integration workflows and ETL processes.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Familiarity with database systems and query languages to support data extraction and transformation.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and version control practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
