How I put change in motion

As a People Program Manager and the Inclusion & Diversity Lead for the Accenture South market, I collaborate with our business and client teams, HR leadership and local offices to create an I&D-driven agenda. The work I do impacts all people and breaks down barriers to personal and professional growth, helping people see the best in their colleagues and recognize the value of inclusion in all aspects of our company.

 

It’s exciting because I get the chance to interact with such a diverse group of people in a very vulnerable space, discussing issues surrounding ethnicity, gender, disabilities, veterans and military spouses and LGBTQ+ people. I served in the U.S. Army and now serve as the Accenture National Military Employee Resource Group (ERG) co-lead. It’s so rewarding to work with people in our ERGs who share the passion of inclusivity, helping them connect and deploy programs that drive change across the Accenture ecosystem.

A day in my life

There is no typical day-in-the-life for an I&D practitioner at Accenture, but that is the most exciting and engaging part of working here. I collaborate across the HR spectrum, harnessing the energy of our people and the passion of our leaders to drive meaningful, impactful programs, really unlocking the potential for Accenture to be truly the most inclusive company in the world.

 

The people are the best part of working for Accenture. It’s the people that drive our business and our outcomes and create the environment that makes this a company I’m proud to be part of.

My advice
