Azure Monitoring Specialist

What will you do:
Become subject matter expert for our Azure environments, acting as the owner for continuously improving stability, efficiency, and Azure monthly cost
Proactively inspect overall health of production cloud systems running in Azure
Coordinate software releases to production in a timely manner
Manage cloud infrastructure configuring management tools such as Terraform
Collaborate with development teams to support application infrastructure requirements.
Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker Containers
Assess and implement solutions for configuration and deployment of Cloud infrastructure
Actively engage in understanding the high-level architecture of applications and how the components interact in both a distributed and development environment
Cross reference log entries against application source code to assist with diagnosis
Provide recommendations for adjusting system alert mechanisms and processes
Act as 2nd level support; diagnose issues and provide remediation steps
Document designs including architecture, monitoring, logging, and access controls
Contribute to documentation and training for 1st level support team
Qualifications
What do we expect from you:
2-6 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Administration
Experienced in analysing complex software systems
Well versed with DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines
Hands on experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools (IAC) and tools such as Ansible, Packer and Terraform
Scripting skills in Python and CloudFormation
Experience of developing and implementing software on Linux server systems
Windows and Linux OS Admin Skills
In-depth understanding of Azure, with Windows and Linux EC2 instances
Experience with Data Backup and Recovery
Infrastructure Cloud Migration Experience
Knowledge of Cloud networking on Azure
Working knowledge of Azure Security and Best Practices
Versed in Application Stack installation and configuration
MLOps (Azure Machine Learning) experience desirable
Experience with monitoring and log aggregation systems
Monitoring of IT infrastructure and on-call support as required
Strong understanding of support processes – SLA, handling tickets, monitoring, processes, and metrics.
Experience with databases or storage technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server)
Experience of working in teams which include a wide variety of people and roles, including developers, software architects, QA engineers
Fluent in English (Level C2 as per the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR))
Educational Requirements
Master’s Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent professional experience
Recommended Certifications
Azure DevOps Engineer
