Job Description
Working as part of Accenture’s Technology Marketing + Communications team, this position will be responsible for leading marketing and communications for Accenture’s Security practice globally.
We are looking for a seasoned marketing and communications professional who can effectively influence and collaborate across Accenture. In this role, you must be able to quickly understand, analyze and communicate technology innovations and trends and enjoy working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
While there is never a typical day at Accenture, and that’s the beauty of it, here are a few highlights about the role:
Develop, lead and manage Security marketing programs such as Thought leadership and PoV content campaigns, events both Accenture owned and 3rd Party and other awareness and communications programs to drive image development and interest as well as demand to drive growth.
Develop our global Security marketing strategy and plan, collaborate with target Market Units, Industries, Functions and other Services to tailor and activate the plan for client relevancy and pipeline building influence.
Design and implement marketing and communication strategies and campaigns across a wide range of channels including positioning, go-to-market campaigns, thought leadership, events, people engagement, Accenture’s Foresight thought leadership app, social media and accenture.com.
Develop external Security positioning, messaging, content and scripts for external speaking opportunities and analyst briefings.
Develop content for executive communications for internal use and Board/GMC meetings, as well as Accenture people communications.
Lead, guide and develop extended M+C team working on Security marketing programs.
Work as part of Security’s leadership team, advising and guiding on marketing and communications strategy and tactics, and keeping the team and programs focused on the highest business priorities.
Conduct market, competitor and other research.
Support development of Accenture offering and sales enablement content including narratives, overview decks and materials and client stories in collaboration with appropriate teams.
Manage workflow using relevant tools to support strategic planning, marketing operations, budgeting and reporting.
Qualifications
Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, communications or related.
Extensive demonstrated experience in marketing and communications or related field required.
Experience in the technology industry and/or for a large, global organization is required. Security industry or related experience is highly desirable.
Skills & Qualifications
This role requires both excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
Proven ability to digest complex issues and topics and communicate them in a way to make them easily understood by a broad audience.
Strong people and program leadership skills.
Strong organizational, program and time management and content development skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects.
Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, conflict management and executive stakeholder management skills.
Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a virtual, problem-solving environment.
Able to work effectively, and at speed, across functional and geographic groups with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting, either military or civilian.
Personal flexibility to work virtually, sometimes in the office and travel globally as needed to support events or key programs/meetings.
Willingness to participate in meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones.
Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries.
