What will you do:
Resolve incidents, problems affecting the operations/availability of high-profile production systems in private and public VMware cloud.
Install, configure, maintain VMware infrastructure products - including HA, disaster recovery, business continuity concepts - (ESXi, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager, Azure VMware Solution)
Migrations of various private cloud infrastructure components including support of migration to hybrid/public cloud
Maintain and modify automation scripts to support operational tasks and processes.
Perform an assessment of VMware environments and recommend changes to improve platform performance and overall stability.
Work with ITIL based service processes (Incident/Problem/Change Management)
Define and document processes and procedures related to deployment, migration, and general maintenance
What do we expect from you:
About 2 years of experience in administration of VMware platform
Good English communication skills (written and oral).
Knowledge with virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager, Azure VMware Solution
Nice to have: knowledge/experience with public cloud providers, understanding\experience of VMware Automation, exposure to hyper-converged infrastructure
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI) or programming language (as an asset)
Base OS knowledge (Windows, Linux)
Infrastructure troubleshooting skills, ability to utilize effective techniques to determine root causes of problems, use tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving operational problems, and identify and mitigate risk
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
Team player with the ability to build relationships with multiple team
