Job Description

We are looking for Data Architect to join Accenture Research, which is a global, award-winning team providing insights and analysis to Accenture and its clients throughout the world.

Accenture Research uncovers trends and shape data-driven insights through market research and business intelligence for Accenture and its clients.

Our growing team of over 300 researchers and analysts develops thought-provoking research -- supported by proprietary data and partnerships with leading organizations that guides our innovations and allows us to transform theories and fresh ideas into real-world solutions for our clients.

The Data Architect to join our team will help build and manage several databases (both structured and unstructured) for the Research group. The candidate will work closely with the data science and data visualization teams to plan and optimize data access, data usage and data visualization, to identify scalable data solutions, to acquire, to validate and to store external and internally produced data, and to build data manipulation processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Architect efficient and scalable data solutions to ingest, validate, transform, cross-reference, and maintain several alternative data sources.
  • Work with external data vendors and our internal Data Strategist to learn the data schema, format, and assumptions behind the underlying data before onboarding it to the Research data repository.
  • Implement data quality checks to proactively monitor incoming data for potential issues.
  • Work with other teams to analyze their data requirements and formulate appropriate data-driven solutions (e.g. data models, data visualizations, etc..)
  • Develop and Maintain data documentation


Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a comprehensive skill set:

“Hard” skills:

  • Experience managing large-scale dataset, data validation and data transformation techniques
  • Required experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataflow, functions, etc..)
  • Working experience with Snowflake, AWS and Azure are very relevalt
  • Skills in cloud security, web services, FTP servers and API for data ingestion
  • Experience with developing ETL jobs - either in Python or by using other ETL tools (e.g. Data Fusion)
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and data storytelling. Knowledge of Power Automate would be a plus.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar subjects with the ability to articulate complex issues at the intersection of business and IT to senior executives
  • Demonstrated aptitude for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving
  • General awareness of data management best practices, emerging trends, and challenges
  • Ability to fluently conduct discussions and write in English.

  • Intellectual curiosity. Data-driven mindset.
  • Strong interest in exploring use of emerging data-driven analytical tools and technologies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in one-to-one and team settings
  • Enthusiasm to work - independently, collaboratively, and virtually - in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone team
